Prep Time:
 10 mins
Cook Time:
 30 mins

Ingredients:
  1. Flavorless Oil - 1/3 Cup
  2. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder - 1/4 Cup
  3. All Purpose Floor (Maida) - 1+1/2Cups
  4. Water - 1 Cup
  5. Powdered Sugar - 3/4 Cup
  6. Vanilla Essence - 1/4 Tsp
  7. Baking Powder - 1Tsp
  8. Vinegar - 1 Tsp
  9. Salt - a pinch
Procedure:
  • Please make sure to follow the steps in the exact order otherwise the results may vary.
  • Also make sure that there is less than 5% error in the measurement and try to keep the measurement exact.

  • Take large glass mixing bowl and sieve all the dry ingredients one by one including
    • All Purpose Floor
    • Cocoa Powder
    • Baking Soda
    • Salt
  • Sieve and then double sieve to get an airy cake later on. You wont regret it.

  • To the sieved dry ingredients, add the following:
    • powdered sugar
    • water
    • oil
    • vinegar
  • Mix well with a whisker or spatula but don't over mix and don't ever use a blender at this stage.
  • Now start your oven and preheat it at 180 Degrees Celsius for 5-7 mins.
  • Take large piece of foil paper and  grease it with butter. (You can use an 8 inch round parchment paper also but I couldn't find it due to the lockdown)

  • Set the foil paper in an 8 inch baking tin.
  • Leave the sides of the foil paper out so that you can lift the cake right out of the tin later.
  • Pour the ready batter in the tin and pat it on the counter to remove any bubbles.
  • Bake it in the preheated oven at 180Degrees Celsius for 25-30 Mins or till a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • I suggest topping the cake with chocolate syrup to give it a glaze and even more awesome taste.
  • You can also Garnish your ready cake with candied fennel seeds or any small candies that you can find.
  • Enjoy!!!
